Bio
Jeannie Zarrilli begins her first season as Head Women's Soccer Coach at Southern Maine Community College.
Zarrilli brings over three decades of coaching experience at the high school and club levels, with a decorated résumé that includes 354 career wins in the state of Maine making her the winningest female soccer coach in the state. Most recently, she served as the Head Coach at Gorham High School for 23 years. In her coaching career, Zarrilli has lead teams to eight state championship appearances and 13 regional championship games, and mentored numerous All-American and collegiate-bound players.
Originally from Sudbury, Massachusetts, Zarrilli moved to Maine in 1987 and now resides in Gorham, Maine. Zarrilli played collegiate soccer at both the University of Vermont (NCAA Div. 1) and Boston College (NCAA Div. 1), earning All-New England honors at BC before completing her bachelor's degree. She also holds three master’s degrees from the University of Maine, University of Southern Maine, and Loyola Chicago.
Her coaching accolades include multiple Coach of the Year honors from the Maine Soccer Coaches Association, SMAA, and KVAC, as well as leading Gorham to national top-25 rankings and a remarkable 70-game unbeaten streak.
Off the pitch, Zarrilli is a longtime English teacher and lives in Gorham with her husband, John. She has two daughters, Katie and Kristi, and is the proud grandmother of Leo and Milo.
